It is my pleasure to welcome you to the new Indianapolis Hand Society website. This project has been spearheaded by Tom Kaplan but has finally come to fruition with the combined efforts of multiple partners at The Indiana Hand Center. The new website will feature a password protected directory, a location for information and links to our list serve, a location where we can access information regarding our society, including information about the leadership of our society, as well as upcoming meetings. An additional feature of this website that we plan to have is a Hand Surgery Pearl in the hand surgery corner. In this section, we will highlight either a case of the month, a technical tip, or other information that highlights something that may be unique or useful to our hand surgery practices. It is our hope that this portion of the site will have contributions from the membership at large and not just partners at The Indiana Hand Center.
At our annual business meeting of the Hand Society for the past few years, it appears that there is consistent interest in renewing an active Indianapolis Hand Society. To that effect, we are currently organizing a spring 2009 reunion meeting. It is our hope here at The Indiana Hand Center that with renewed interest and activity from a significant number of former graduates, we can rekindle the relationships we have as Indiana Hand Center fellows and continue with our tri-annual meeting schedule.
Tom and I are very excited about the launch of this site. We hope that it will be a positive addition to your practices. We welcome, at any time, comments or suggestions that we can incorporate to improve our Indianapolis Hand Society website.
